Welcome to Lurgan Farm. We’re Ann and Gert, and together with our two young children, we live and work on a traditional organic hill farm in the hills above Aberfeldy, Highland Perthshire. With a flock of hardy Scottish Blackface sheep, a herd of Luing cattle and a team of skilled working dogs by our side, we’re dedicated to farming with care — for the land, our animals, and the generations to come.
Our days are shaped by the seasons and the rhythm of the hills: lambing, gathering, working dogs, and everything in between. And now, we’re opening the gate for visitors to come and see what it’s all about.
Our sheepdog demonstrations offer a close-up look at the partnership between shepherd and dog. You’ll watch the dogs in action, hear about how we train them, and get a real feel for the skill and teamwork involved. It’s honest, practical, and a bit different from your usual day out.
